Eligibility criteria
- You must be a residential customer, a farmer (Rate D or DM) or a small-power business customer (Rate G).
- If you are a residential customer, you must be an owner-occupant. If you have a business, you must be the owner-operator.
- Your facilities must generate electricity from a renewable energy source. Eligible energy sources are as follows:
- Wind power: the kinetic energy of wind, derived from the movement of air masses in the earth's atmosphere
- Solar energy (photovoltaic): energy derived from the sun's radiation; electromagetic energy transmitted from the sun that reaches the earth
- Hydropower: production of electricity by the action of moving water
- Bioenergy: energy produced by the decomposition of organic matter (e.g., forest resources, industrial, agricultural and municipal waste) and by the combustion of combustible materials that have been released.
- The maximum capacity of your generating facilities may not exceed the lower of the following two capacities:
- The generating equipment must be located on the same premises as the delivery point stated on your electricity service contract.
