Geographic location: This line runs from Québec substation, near the Autoroute Laurentienne, to Val-Rose substation, in Shannon, crossing part of the cities of Québec and Shannon. The dismantling of this line has been made possible by the commissioning of the new Duchesnay substation, located in the municipality of Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier.

Length of the line: 25.6 km

Description of the work: The work will consist of two major phases. The first phase will be the removal of all conductors. The second phase will be the removal of the 397 steel towers and wood poles.

Start of work: Winter 2018

End of work: Spring 2018

Environmental protection: A Hydro-Québec representative will ensure that all work is carried out with due respect for the environment and that sites are restored in accordance with requirements once the work is complete.
