Saint-Aimé-des-Lacs–Baie-Saint-Paul and Baie-Saint-Paul–Saint-Tite-des-Caps lines

Geographic location: This line runs from Saint-Aimé-des-Lacs substation to Baie-Saint-Paul substation and continues to Saint-Tite-des-Caps substation. It crosses the municipalities of Saint-Aimé-des-Lacs, La Malbaie, Saint-Hilarion, Baie-Saint-Paul, Petite-Rivière-Saint-François and Saint-Tite-des-Caps. The dismantling of this line has been made possible by the commissioning of the new Baie-Saint-Paul substation.

Length of the line: 80 km

Description of the work: The work will consist of two major phases. The first phase will be the removal of all conductors. The second phase will be the removal of the 1,401 wooden poles.

Start of work: Fall 2017

End of work: Spring 2018

Environmental protection: A Hydro-Québec representative will ensure that all work is carried out with due respect for the environment and that sites are restored in accordance with requirements once the work is complete.
