Title: Stabilizing shorelines

  Highlights

Experimental device
for stabilizing shorelines
Beginning of work
2006

Our actions   Our reasons for acting
Work area: Section of the Eastmain River downstream of the dam

We will build a sill at kilometre point 207 of the Eastmain River.
We will set up a complementary stabilizing structure on certain sensitive sections of the banks between the powerhouse and kilometre point 207.

The downstream section of the Eastmain River includes erosion sensitive zones, because of water released between the dam and kilometre point 207 or daily level fluctuations related to operating the future powerhouse between kilometre point 207 and Opinaca reservoir.
