Farm Equipment - Plate Heat Exchangers
Eligibility
Customers
- Only agricultural customers who pay Rate D, G or M are eligible for the Farm Equipment component.
Note: Customers of municipal and off-grid systems are eligible for all components of the Efficient Products Program.
General conditions
- You must purchase a plate heat exchanger that meets technical and efficiency criteria defined by Hydro-Québec.
- 316 stainless steel plates
- Double- or triple-pass design for cooling water
- The temperature of the milk at the heat exchanger outlet must be at least 15°C (27°F) lower than at the inlet.
Δ T milk ≥ 15°C (27°F)
- You must purchase plate heat exchangers from an Efficient Products Program partner.
Note: See the List of Participating Distributors. - You must install the plate heat exchangers
- within six months of purchase
- in a building or other location in Québec, whether existing, being renovated or under construction.

Products must be purchased and installed between January 10, 2008, and December 31, 2010.
