The ENERGY WISE Competition of Excellence was designed to honor Hydro-Québec customers and business partners who have distinguished themselves through exceptional accomplishments in the field of energy efficiency.

Hydro-Québec wishes to recognize their remarkable energy-saving initiatives along with their innovation, efforts to promote energy efficiency and dedication to protecting the environment.

Awards will be presented in nine categories, four of which are reserved for business customers and five for business partners.

Business Customers

ENERGY WISE Citation of Excellence

Every project carried out under a Hydro-Québec energy efficiency program between January 1, 2004, and December 31, 2007, will be considered. The five businesses that have completed the most projects under the Empower Program and businesses that have achieved specific energy savings thresholds will receive an ENERGY WISE Citation of Excellence. Every business that receives a Citation will be honored at a special ceremony.

ENERGY WISE Award of Excellence

Businesses which meet the eligibility requirements will be invited to submit their project and vie for an ENERGY WISE Award of Excellence.

Business partners

ENERGY WISE Award of Excellence

Business partners who have carried out projects, initiatives or activities under an energy efficiency program and who meet the eligibility requirements are invited to submit an application and vie for an ENERGY WISE Award of Excellence.

Jury

A jury composed of Hydro-Québec representatives and leading figures from the business world and energy industry will examine the applications submitted and select the winners. At the end of the competition, the prestigious ENERGY WISE Awards of Excellence will be handed out at a special ceremony. Award winners will receive substantial media coverage.
