Flexible financial and technical assistance

Hydro-Québec grants financial support equal to the lower of the following amounts:

up to $75,000 or 75% of the total costs of an experimentation project;

up to $250,000 or 75% of the additional costs for a demonstration project. Additional costs are the difference between the total cost of the proposed project and its standard equivalent. They include salaries, materials, monitoring expenses, and equipment lease or purchase costs. In all cases, they must be confirmed by Hydro-Québec. Proposals for demonstration projects must be submitted by customers. Proposals for demonstration projects must be submitted by customers.

However, you must assume at least 25% of the total cost of the project yourself, and the total value of the financial or technical assistance provided by Hydro-Québec to a project cannot exceed 75% of eligible project costs.

Hydro-Québec may also offer technical assistance in the form of expertise or testing at its energy technologies laboratory (LTE).
