Annual external audits enable Hydro-Québec to place a power content label on the electricity it supplies. Based on an audit of data for 2000 conducted by Deloitte & Touche LLP in 2001, each terawatthour sold by the company generated 40.1 times less CO2, 31.5 times less SO2 and 28.7 times less NOx than the regional average for electric utilities in the six New England states, New York State, Ontario and New Brunswick.
