De L'Érable

The 100-MW De L'Érable wind farm is one of fifteen projects selected in Hydro-Québec's second call for tenders for the purchase of wind power.

To integrate generation from the future wind farm into its transmission network, Hydro-Québec must build a line segment about 12 km long. The segment will connect the wind farm, located in the De L'Érable RCM municipalities of Saint-Ferdinand, Sainte-Sophie-d’Halifax and Saint-Pierre-Baptiste, to the Bois-Francs–Plessisville line.

Construction is scheduled for winter 2010-2011, with commissioning in fall 2011.
