Figuery substation – Amos (Abitibi)

To keep up with growing industrial demand in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region, driven mainly by mining, Hydro-Québec must increase the capacity of its power transmission system in the region.

The project will increase the capacity of two 315-kV lines in the Abitibi region, the Abitibi-Lebel and Lebel-Figuery lines, by adding equipment at Figuery substation, located in Amos. Commissioning is scheduled for 2014.
