Lac-Alfred

The 300-MW Lac-Alfred wind farm is among fifteen projects selected in Hydro-Québec's second call for tenders for the purchase of wind power.

To bring the wind farm's output onto its transmission grid, Hydro-Québec must build a 315-kV single-circuit line segment 29.9 kilometres from the wind farm developer's substation to the Rimouski–Matapédia line.

Land clearing began in September 2011, and construction is scheduled to start in winter 2011-2012. Commissioning is planned for summer 2012.
