Montagne-Sèche

To bring the output from the future Montagne-Sèche wind farm onto its transmission grid, Hydro-Québec must build new 161-kV lines. This entails building a new 161-kV line segment 27.8 km long between Montagne-Sèche and L'Anse-à-Valleau wind farms. Power will flow through this new line, then over an existing line to L'Anse-à-Valleau junction. From this junction to Rivière-au-Renard substation, a second line 10 km long will be built in the right-of-way of an existing line.

To provide Grande-Vallée substation with a more secure electricity supply, Hydro-Québec will also connect it to the new grid with a single-circuit line 16 km long.
