New Richmond

The 66-MW New Richmond wind farm is among fifteen projects selected in Hydro-Québec's second call for tenders for the purchase of 2,000 MW of wind power.

To bring the output from the New Richmond wind farm onto its transmission grid, Hydro-Québec must build a 230-kV single-circuit line about 10 km long from the substation owned by the wind farm developer, Venterre, to its Cascapédia substation.

Construction is scheduled for winter and spring 2012, with commissioning in summer 2012.
