Seigneurie de Beaupré

Seigneurie de Beaupré

This construction project will connect the Seigneurie de Beaupré wind farms to Hydro-Québec's transmission grid. The planned installed capacities of Seigneurie de Beaupré-2 and Seigneurie de Beaupré-3 are 132.6 MW and 139.3 MW respectively, totalling 271.9 MW.

The wind farms are among the fifteen projects selected in Hydro-Québec's second round of tendering for the purchase of wind power.

Hydro-Québec plans to build a 315-kV single-circuit line about 23 km long from the future Boralex–Gaz Métro L.P. consortium switchyard to the existing Bersimis–Laurentides line. It must also create a loop to Charlevoix substation by building a 315-kV double-circuit tap line about 3 km long.

Construction is planned for January to April 2013, with commissioning in summer 2013.
