Visual simulation of Vaudreuil-Soulanges substation.
The construction of the new Vaudreuil-Soulanges transformer substation and its tie line, which began in October 2008, was completed in November 2009. Located in the Town of Saint-Lazare, this 120/25-kV substation has been in service since December 15, 2009. It was built to supply Saint-Lazare, Hudson and part of Vaudreuil-Dorion, as well as to meet the growing power needs of the RCM of Vaudreuil-Soulanges.
The work was carried out in three distinct phases:
The different phases of the project were completed on schedule and within the allotted budget of 29 million dollars.
Hydro-Québec wishes to thank the Town of Saint-Lazare, the RCM of Vaudreuil-Soulanges, local economic and environmental organizations and the residents of Saint-Lazare for their cooperation throughout the entire project.
