In 2005, Hydro-Québec continued working on the development of hydroelectric potential and the security of energy supply in Québec. The company's energy efficiency initiatives yielded encouraging results and its profitability increased yet again. Income from continuing operations totaled $2.25 billion, compared to $2.13 billion in 2004. Hydro-Québec would like to pay tribute to its men and women of energy, whose outstanding cooperation has allowed the company to achieve its goals.
