1

1. Contract number

Number assigned to the contract for this service address.

2

2. Customer number

Use this number to identify yourself when you call Customer Services.

3

3. Service address

This may be different from the billing address.

4

4. Document title

Designates the detailed statement, which provides a breakdown of your consumption for the service address covered by the contract.

An additional detail such as "copy", "Equalized Payments Plan", "reprint", "cancelled" or "adjusted" may be added.

5

5. Consumption period

Billing date, period covered and number of days.

6

6. For your information

Section used for various messages or updates on the status of a payment guarantee.

7

7. Power factor

The power factor corresponds to the ratio between your real power and your apparent power, times 100.

8

8. Load factor

The load factor (LF) corresponds to the ratio between your actual energy consumption (kWh) and the maximum power available to you during a given billing period, based on your maximum power demand. It enables you to estimate your use of the maximum power demand for the period.

9

9. Calculation of consumption

Breakdown of consumption and applicable charges for the service address, based on the meter readings and the contract rate. The calculation will look familiar, since the rates and calculation method are unchanged.

10

10. Meter

The number on your meter (or meters, if your power in kVA and in kW is measured with different devices).

11

11. Readings

Your current meter reading, the previous and the multiplier used to calculate your energy consumption in kWh for the billing period.

Note: To obtain your power demand in kVA and in kW, you don't have to recalculate the difference between the current reading and the previous one, because the power demand is reset to zero after each reading.

12

12. Minimum demand

Minimum demand is automatically based on your previous consumption, but it cannot be less than 100 kW. When minimum demand is greater than contract power, then it serves as the minimum billing demand.

13

13. Apparent power

Your highest power demand, in kVA.

14

14. 90% of apparent power

90% of your highest power demand in kVA. The result is expressed in kW.

15

15. Real power

Your maximum power demand, in kW.

16

16. Billing demand

Price of billing demand
The demand used to calculate your bill is the maximum power demand (90% of the demand in kVA or 100% of the demand in kW), but cannot be less than the contract power.
Price of billing demand as of April 1, 2010: $13.44/kW

17

17. Consumption

Total energy consumed during the period, in kWh.

18

18. kWh consumed in first and second brackets

First 210,000 kWh per month
Consumption in the first price bracket, prorated to the number of days (30) in the billing period.
Price of first 210,000 kWh per month as of April 1, 2010: $0.0451/kWh

Remaining consumption (if applicable)
Consumption in the second price bracket.
Price of remaining energy consumption as of April 1, 2010: $0.0319/kWh

19

19. Subtotal

The subtotal before taxes, which is carried onto the bill.

20

20. Previous consumption

Table that allows you to track your electricity consumption over time.
