Interruption Periods

Interruption periods are blocks of time when you reduce your electricity consumption at the request of Hydro-Québec. They may occur as follows:

• In the winter period, from December 1 to March 31 (inclusive)
• On business days (Monday to Friday, except for holidays)
• In four-hour blocks: 7 to 11 a.m. and 5 to 9 p.m.
• A maximum of twice a day
• A maximum of 25 times per winter

Notice

You will be notified of the date and time of an upcoming interruption period by telephone no later than 3 p.m. the day before.
