The Socket Twins
1. Install electronic thermostats!
Follow these guidelines to get the most out of your investment:
Replace as many conventional thermostats as you possibly can.
Replace ones in open areas first. If you decide you're not going to replace all your thermostats, first change the ones in the rooms that you heat the most.
Plan well for the best results.
2. Get up to $130
*
in rebates by mail!
Look for packages that say the thermostat qualifies for the Hydro-Québec program and is eligible for the mail-in rebate. Or check
our Web site
for information on eligible products.
3. Follow these recommendations for maximum savings!
You'll save even more if you turn down your thermostats or program your electronic thermostats using these temperature guidelines:
Did you know that you can save up to 4.5% on heating costs just by lowering your thermostats by 3°C for a period of 8 hours? Reduce °C to increase savings ... a good habit to get into!
* The rebate coupon lists the conditions that apply.
The Building Act requires all thermostats to be installed by an accredited member of the Corporation des maîtres électriciens du Québec (CMEQ). You can consult the CMEQ directory of member electricians at
