To boost energy savings Did you know that a refrigerator that is over 10 years old uses on average 3 times as much energy as a recent model? And an old freezer uses twice the energy! If we get rid of as many of these energy guzzlers as we can, our energy savings will soar! To protect the environment Hazardous materials (refrigerant gas, mercury, oil, etc.) in recovered appliances will be treated and recycled in environmentally safe ways.
