			As announced in the last newsletter, your new bill along with an explanatory pamphlet have arrived. Check it out and you'll soon locate all the information you need. Main changes! Your bill is divided into four main sections: General information, showing the bill number, plus your customer, account and contract numbers The consumption calculation, showing the number of kilowatthours used during the billing period Details of transactions in your account Account status since the previous bill Billing calculation, at the current rate, for the number of kilowatthours used, as indicated in the consumption calculation A table summarizing your previous consumption The payment stub, which you submit with your payment There has been no change in how the bill is calculated, or in the rates that apply. Our commitment to the environment Even with more information, the new bill still uses a single page. It's one way we can help save resources. Some useful tips Hydro-Québec considers your bill paid when we receive your payment. Whether you pay by mail, at the bank, by telephone banking or online, make sure you allow enough time for receipt and processing of the transaction. Your financial institution has been informed of the changes to our computer system. Make sure your new account number (which begins with 299) is written on the cheque you use to make your payment, or that it is updated in your transaction information when you pay online.
