In fair weather or foul, the meter reader comes to read your meter and to do the job safely, he or she needs your help. You can make things easier with just a few simple actions.
- Keep the path or stairs leading to the meter free from toys, tools, gates or equipment that could make the meter hard to reach
- Make sure that shrubs and climbing plants don’t block the meter
- Remember to keep access to the meter clear if you add a patio or verandah, and don’t forget to keep your dog tied up and away from the meter
