Abitibi-Témiscamingue

  • Première-Chute generating station: Diaphragm walls were used here for the first time in North America.

Baie-James

  • Robert-Bourassa generating facility: The biggest underground power­house in the world!
  • La Grande-1 generating station: Imposing and majestic, made of 640,000 m3 of concrete - enough to build a sidewalk from Montréal to Miami.

Côte-Nord

  • Manic-2 generating station: A single one of the eight generating units in this powerhouse weighs as much as 100 elephants.
  • Daniel-Johnson dam and Manic-5 generating station: The highest multiple-arch-and-buttress dam in the world. The building at 1, place Ville-Marie could stand in its main vault.
