Nothing comes close to compact fluorescent lightbulbs (CFLs) for creating atmosphere and helping you save. That's
right, with the same amount of light, you can create different effects and moods, simply by choosing the appropriate type of lighting. Here are some examples:

|

|
Choose warm white light for softer light and a warmer feeling. The effect is similar to that of usual incandescent lighting.
|
Choose cool white light for a livelier, whiter and brighter light. The effect is similar to that of fluorescent tube lighting.
|
Decorating tip! Warm white light brings out red and yellow hues.
|
Decorating tip! Cool white light brings out blue and green hues.

Knowledge is power: Incandescent vs. CFL
The ordinary lightbulb we know so well is incandescent. The compact fluorescent lightbulb (CFL) has been available for several years and offers clear advantages over the incandescent bulb:
- Lasts up to 10 times longer
- Uses up to 75% less electricity
- Produces the same amount of light
Be pro-environment! CFLs contain up to 5 mg of mercury. Although this is a tiny amount (only one fifth of the quantity found in a watch battery), please dispose of lightbulbs responsibly when you replace them. Use the waste recovery options available in your municipality, just as you would for paint or household chemicals.
