The EnerGuide label displays:
- the annual energy consumption
- a rating so you can compare against other models
- the ENERGY STAR symbol, for the most efficient models only
To understand the label better and select an efficient appliance, see where the information is found.
- Annual energy consumption in kilowatthours (kWh); the lower the number, the more efficient the appliance.
- Annual energy consumption
of the most efficient model of
the same type of appliance.
- Arrow indicating energy consumption compared with other models of the same type.
- Type and capacity.
- Annual energy consumption
of the least efficient model of
the same type of appliance.
- Model number.
- Symbol that appears on the EnerGuide label of the most efficient large appliances;
shows that the manufacturer has met specific standards of energy performance.
