When you sign up for Pre-authorized Debit, you authorize Hydro-Québec and your bank to debit the amount of every electricity bill on the due date.
Once your registration has been finalized, Pre-authorized Debit comes into effect the same day Hydro-Québec approves your application.
After that, whenever a new bill is issued, you’ll receive an e-mail notification of the amount owing and the date it will be debited.
