Hydro-Québec Supplier Code of Conduct

The Supplier Code of Conduct sets out Hydro-Québec’s expectations with respect to suppliers with whom they have a business relation. It is an integral part of all Hydro-Québec contract documents.

Hydro-Québec is constantly striving to adopt best commercial practices, in line with its values, with the law, and with the highest current standards.

In order to maintain the integrity of Hydro-Québec and its activities, as well as the confidence of the public, suppliers and their subcontractors must act with integrity, loyalty and responsibility, and demonstrate the utmost respect for people and the work environment.

New version available

Hydro-Québec published its first Supplier Code of Conduct in 2012.

The updated version of the code, published in January 2018, is part of a plan for ongoing improvement that aims to:

  1. Lay out the company’s expectations with regard to suppliers
  2. Harmonize the rules of conduct with recognized integrity-based standards and practices
  3. Clarify the potential sanctions in the event of suppliers’ failure to comply with the company’s values and rules of basic conduct
