Promoting Networking

We promote knowledge and market development by organizing events that bring together Québec businesses with others from around the world.

To support the business community, Hydro-Québec fosters networking between Québec businesses and others around the world by helping to organize events in cooperation with the Network of Export Commissioners, the Québec Manufacturers and Exporters Association, the provincial Department of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade, and other economic stakeholders.

Some Examples

	2007 forum for foreign companies in Québec: we were involved in this first forum held to find ways to develop and maintain international business. The 40 participating companies account for 50,000 direct jobs in Québec.

	Rendez-vous au 53^e parallèle project in 2006: we took part in setting up and leading a multi-industry working group on R&D and applications in intelligent textiles.

	Advanced Materials Crossroads 2006: we were a partner in the organization and funding of this international event.

	Expo Hightex 2005: participation in the trade show and conference; 12 countries and 450 manufacturers, buyers and sellers of high-tech textiles were represented in the exhibition.

	FuturAllia Forum: recruitment of Québec companies for this international forum, which promotes strategic business alliances.
