Teaming Up with Suppliers

Environmental Requirements

Every year, Hydro-Québec awards contracts to numerous suppliers of goods and services. Whether for vegetation control, snow removal, transportation of contaminated soil, or other projects and operations, our contracts with suppliers include environmental protection clauses.

Hydro-Québec's suppliers are obliged to meet the environmental requirements in their contracts. We encourage our suppliers to use sound environmental practices. In addition, environmental consulting firms are subject to specific qualification criteria.

Suppliers must also ensure that their employees are informed of the environmental clauses in their contracts. That is why the main requirements are generally presented at start-up meetings held before work begins or when employees arrive at the jobsite.
