- The demand for electricity goes up every year in Québec. Hydro-Québec has a number of ways of ensuring a secure power supply: building new generating facilities, purchasing electricity from other Québec producers (hydropower or wind power), importing electricity or reducing consumption by promoting energy efficiency.
- This talk explores the means that Hydro-Québec uses to continue to meet demand, balance the various means, and their respective contributions to deployment of sustainable sources of energy.

Speaker : Claude Demers
- Scientific communicator Claude Demers has been with Hydro-Québec since 1980. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in physical geography and has worked all over Québec and in Labrador.
- For over a decade, Claude Demers coordinated the environmental monitoring program at the La Grande complex. He has also managed projects for Hydro-Québec International and worked in the power generation planning department.
