Work progress by region
Construction of the power line is now underway.
Over the next few months in the Lanaudière region (sections 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the line)
The project is divided into a number of line sections, each with its own construction timeline.
Section 3 of the line
(area from Taureau reservoir to Saint-Zénon)
The construction contract for the 735-kV line has been awarded to: Thiriau Ltée. The construction period will run from December 2016 to late August 2018.
All tower foundations were completed in September 2017. In the next few months, the towers will be erected and the cables rolled out.
Jobsite office in Saint-Michel-des-Saints
An increase in vehicle traffic is expected in Saint-Michel-des-Saints at the beginning and end of the day, due to the presence of Hydro-Québec’s jobsite office as well as the numerous workers who reside there.
Section 4 of the line
(area from Saint-Zénon to Rawdon)
The construction contract for the 735-kV line has been awarded to: Transelec-Arno. The construction is plan from August 2017 to November 2018.
Section 5 of the line
(area from Rawdon to Terrebonne)
The contract for the construction of the 735-kV line was awarded to Coentreprise Transelec-Arno. Construction of the 735-kV line is underway and will be completed in August 2018.
Line dismantling work in Carrefour des Fleurs
In November 2017, Hydro-Québec will begin dismantling the last 315-kV line which crosses Carrefour des Fleurs.[PDF 9.9 Mo]
Tower foundations for this line will be leveled. Hydro-Québec will take all the necessary measures to minimize the impact of the work, which should be complete by the end of December 2017.
Section 6 of the line
(area from Saint-Roch-de-l’Achigan to Terrebonne, by way of Mascouche)
Construction of the 735-kV and 315-kV lines is underway. Work should be completed in 2018. For more information on the work in Rivière des Prairies, click here.

Environmental compliance monitoring
Throughout clearing and construction work, a Hydro-Québec environment specialist is onsite to protect the environment, and make sure the site is restored once the work is complete.
Safety near the worksite
Safety measures will be taken on the jobsite to ensure harmonious cohabitation with land users. Many crews will work at various locations along the planned line, even during weekends.

Liaison committee in Lanaudière
Made up of representatives from the Lanaudière region, the liaison committee is continuing its work, since 2015. The committee monitors construction work, reviews how complaints are processed and makes recommendations to Hydro-Québec.
