Video: The Chamouchouane project in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean and Mauricie regions

Welcome to the jobsite!

Construction manager Jocelyn Jean invites us to the northernmost reaches of the Chamouchouane site.

Beginning at La Doré substation, the new power transmission line will run for over 200 km through Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean and the Mauricie.

Construction of the project, which takes place in the forest on many sites simultaneously, involves a small army of workers.

See the view from atop a tower supporting lines carrying 735 kV, the highest voltage level in Québec . . . Welcome to the jobsite!

Hydro-Québec asks residents to be particularly careful near jobsites. Various types of equipment will be used to carry out the work, including on weekends. It is therefore very important to remain clear of the work areas.
