We wish to thank the people of Mauricie for being vigilant and respecting the safety notices during the clearing work for sectors 1, 2 and 3 of the 735-kV line project.

Construction of the power line is now underway.

SECTION 1

The contract for the construction of the 735-kV line was awarded to Construction Hamel. The construction period run from September 2016 to January 2018.

SECTION 2

The construction contract for the 735-kV line has been awarded to: Construction Valard (Québec) inc. The construction period run from summer 2017 to fall 2018.

SECTION 3

The construction contract for the 735-kV line has been awarded to: Thiriau Ltée. The construction period run from December 2016 to late January 2018.

Traffic

An increase in traffic is expected near jobsites in the morning and at the end of the day. Safety precautions are recommended at all times. Keep your distance and respect the speed limit and all signage.

Safety near the worksite

Hydro-Québec asks residents to be particularly careful near jobsites. Various types of equipment will be used to carry out the work, including on weekends. It is therefore very important to remain clear of the work areas.
