Construction manager Jocelyn Jean invites us to the northernmost reaches of the Chamouchouane site.
Beginning at La Doré substation, the new power transmission line will run for over 200 km through Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean and the Mauricie.
Construction of the project, which takes place in the forest on many sites simultaneously, involves a small army of workers.

At Rapide-Blanc reservoir, all stages of construction have been completed. Site restoration will continue until late summer 2018.
A number of activities, such as putting up towers and unwinding cables, are continuing. Work is expected to continue until the end of 2018.

An increase in traffic is expected near jobsites in the morning and at the end of the day. Safety precautions are recommended at all times. Keep your distance and respect the speed limit and all signage.
Safety near the worksite
Hydro-Québec asks residents to be particularly careful near jobsites. Various types of equipment will be used to carry out the work, including on weekends. It is therefore very important to remain clear of the work areas.For more information
