Hydro-Québec intends to set up a joint venture with a world-scale auto parts manufacturer to facilitate the mass production and marketing of the electric powertrains designed by its subsidiary TM4 while continuing to develop new products.

- The motor is small, light and relatively inexpensive to produce.
- It can be used in an all-electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle.
