Saint-Narcisse Generating Station

A page out of history

Take advantage of your stay at Parc de la rivière Batiscan to visit Hydro-Québec's historic facilities.

One of the former generating station's buildings, built in 1897, has been designated a historic monument. In addition, the 29-km, 12-kV line that connected the generating station to Trois-Rivières was the first in the British Empire to transmit electricity over such a great distance.

Nature, pure and simple

Parc de la rivière Batiscan is an ideal spot to spend a few days in the great outdoors. Enjoy fully serviced, semiserviced or wilderness camping, 25 km of mountain bike and hiking trails, canoe rentals and nature interpretation facilities. The playground and picnic areas are perfect for family fun and relaxation.
