Ouvrons l’œil – Making a report
Hydro-Québec has set up the Ouvrons l’œil hotline and online form so you can report any activities that could compromise Hydro‑Québec’s assets, such as electricity theft), unusual events near our facilities, any communication that seems fraudulent or any other suspicious situation in connection with Hydro‑Québec.
Please note! The Ouvrons l’œil hotline does not replace calling 911.
If urgent action is needed (ambulance, fire or police services), you must call 911.
When you report something through the Ouvrons l’œil hotline or online form, Hydro‑Québec can assess the danger associated with equipment safety, cyber security or the protection of your personal information.
Examples of situations or events that you should report:
- You notice an electrical installation that looks as if it’s being used to steal electricity.
- You see a suspicious vehicle or individual near our facilities.
- You witness sabotage or a malicious act involving Hydro-Québec equipment (buildings, vehicles, computer software or hardware).
Use this form to report a suspicious event.
You can also report something by calling 1 877 816-1212.
