KP 223 Weir

This weir is located 223 kilometres from the mouth of the Rupert River, 2 km downstream of the confluence of the Rupert River and Rivière à la Marte.

Objectives	Protect aquatic grass beds. Preserve the area used by waterfowl during migration and breeding seasons. Protect fishing and goose-hunting areas.
Movement of fish	Enable fish to circulate freely.
Approximate area of influence, going upstream	47.3 km.
Date as of which the water level will be substantially maintained	As of impoundment of the diversion bays in Novembre 2009.
