Québec-Stadacona line

Geographic location: This line starts at Québec substation, near the Autoroute Laurentienne, and runs along 41e Rue and Boulevard Henri-Bourassa to end at the White Birch Paper Stadacona mill, located in the Cité-Limoilou borough. The dismantling of this line has been made possible by the commissioning of the new Limoilou substation.

Length of the line: 5 km

Description of the work: The work will consist of two major phases. The first phase will be the removal of all conductors. The second phase will be the removal of the 24 towers and the dismantling of the overhead-underground junction substation.

Start of work: Winter 2018

End of work: Spring 2018

Environmental protection: A Hydro-Québec representative will ensure that all work is carried out with due respect for the environment and that sites are restored in accordance with requirements once the work is complete.
