Electricity Supply Plan 2008–2017
Every three years, Hydro-Québec Distribution prepares a supply plan covering the next 10 years. This plan presents forecasts of its customers' electricity requirements, taking into account energy efficiency measures that have been implemented, along with the various means that the division intends to use to ensure a secure supply of electricity for Québec. The supply plan must be approved by the Régie de l'énergie and is subject to follow-up on an annual basis.
In November 2007, Hydro-Québec Distribution submitted its 2008-2017 Electricity Supply Plan to the Régie de l'énergie, which approved it in October 2008. On October 31, 2008, the division sent the Régie its first report detailing progress with regard to the plan. The next progress report will be tabled on November 1, 2009.
