University Chair Endowments

By supporting research chairs, Hydro-Québec encourages the development of knowledge in areas important to its activities, helping to prepare a new generation of competent employees capable of meeting its future needs. These chairs also facilitate industrial partnerships, which in turn maximize company contributions to research activities.

The chairs Hydro-Québec contributes to are supported financially by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). NSERC matches the contributions made by industry, thus enhancing the universities’ research capabilities for projects of interest to companies.
