Wind Power in Québec

Two factors facilitate the development of wind power in Québec:

  • The water stored in large reservoirs can immediately compensate for variations and drops in wind farm output.
  • Québec's extensive power transmission grid provides good geographic coverage, making it possible to integrate wind-generated electrical energy, even in fairly remote areas.
