A favorable reception from local communities is one of the three essential conditions for Hydro-Québec projects. When developing each new project, the company seeks to balance the three pillars of sustainable development: social, environmental and economic impacts.
Hydro-Québec will hold information and consultation sessions for local authorities and stakeholders to benefit from their knowledge of the territory and collect feedback.
Open-house information and consultation sessions
Location: Hôtel Impéria, 570 rue Dubois, Saint-Eustache (Québec)
Dates and times:
- Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. (open to landowners affected by the project)

Support for community development
Hydro-Québec sees its projects as an opportunity to participate in the development of host communities. With this in mind, through the Integrated Enhancement program, it provides a grant equal to 1% of the value initially approved for facilities covered by the program.
At the conclusion of the study and consultation process, Hydro-Québec will submit an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to the Ministère du Développement durable, de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques du Québec to obtain the required permits.
