Construction – electricity transmission lines

In order to meet increasing electricity demand and ensure the long-term operability of its power system, Hydro-Québec has begun building a 315-kV line between Charland substation, on Rue Louvain near Rue Antoine-Déat, and the new Fleury substation, on Rue Port-Royal near Rue Meilleur.

The new line uses the existing right-of-way that runs along the CN railway. The existing lattice tower line has been dismantled so as to make way for a new line, mainly supported by tubular towers.
