To sustain development in the Lanaudière region, Hydro-Québec commissioned the Pierre-Le Gardeur–Saint-Sulpice line in November 2015.

This new line, some 15 km long, connects the new Pierre-Le Gardeur substation, located in Terrebonne, to the tap-off on the 120-kV line that supplies Saint-Sulpice substation. To limit impacts on farmland, over half of the support structures are reduced-footprint towers.

Hydro-Québec would like to thank residents and regional organizations for their participation in the public participation process. Opinions, suggestions and recommendations were taken into account to determine the line variant with the smallest social, environmental, technological and economic impact.
