To ensure dialogue with the community, Hydro-Québec will implement a public participation and consultation process. Public expectations and concerns will thus be taken into account in view of harmonizing the project with the surrounding environment to the greatest extent possible.
Hydro-Québec has also partnered with the Ville de Montréal and its Irish community by creating a task force to develop a site commemorating the 6,000 Irish immigrants who died of typhus in 1847.
