Small hydroelectric generating stations of 50 MW or less

Description

Hydro-Quebec Distribution establishes a power purchase program to support the development of small hydroelectric generating projects for the benefit of Québec's regions.

The program involves the acquisition of a block of energy generated in Québec from new Aboriginal or local community hydroelectric projects, for a total installed capacity of 150 MW.

The term of the contract is fixed at 20 years.

The deadline for submitting bids was March 16, 2010.
