When you want to reduce energy costs
Last winter, Claude Grégoire and Danielle Proulx made an important decision about their home, because they wanted to make it more comfortable.
They'd heard about the Rénoclimat program and asked for an evaluation of their home and its energy efficiency. In addition to a report, they also got the benefit of expert advice.

In its original condition, the house was rated 65, which is normal for an "upgraded old house," while its rating after the improvements was 77, equivalent to an "energy-efficient new house." The report helped Claude and Danielle identify the things that decreased their comfort and where their home was losing energy, and gave them expert recommendations on how to correct the problems.
They noticed that their electricity bill decreased significantly from the time the work started, and their comfort increased.
Main work done
- Caulked all holes and cracks around the windows, built-in lights and chimney and along the base of the walls
- Insulated the basement walls and part of the basement floor
