Your investment will start to pay off the very first year, even considering the additional cost of a Novoclimat home.

Hydro-Québec grant for single-family homes *

Site-built $2,000 Prefabricated (modular or panelized) $1,500

Who is eligible?

Owners of a newly built, single-family home—detached, semidetached or row house—that is:

  • heated primarily with electricity;
  • built to Novoclimat standards, as established by Québec's Agence de l'efficacité énergétique (AEE).

How does it work?

Image : Étape 1 You choose an accredited Novoclimat builder.

Novoclimat builders are trained and accredited by the AEE.
Find an accredited builder (in French only).
Image : Étape 2 The builder has the house inspected

by the AEE both before and after the walls are sealed.
Image : Étape 3 The builder gives you a form to fill out, along with your Novoclimat certificate.
Image : Étape 4 Hydro-Québec pays the grant.
