ENERGY STAR® Qualified Televisions

Purchasing tips

Les téléviseurs ENERGYSTAR

By choosing an ENERGY STAR qualified television, you'll save energy without sacrificing image quality.

  • Although there are several types of ENERGY STAR qualified TVs, liquid-crystal display (LCD) models usually use less energy than plasma models.
  • For every 10-inch (25-cm) increase in screen size, your television consumes 50% to 70% more power. The bigger your set, the more energy it uses.
  • Ask the representative if the appliance meets the latest version of the technical specifications. For more information on ENERGY STAR criteria.
  • Take the time to choose the model and screen size that are right for you.
