This structure is located 20.4 km from the mouth of the Rivière Rupert, downstream of Gravel Pit. It is designed to maintain the river's level as far as the Smokey Hill Rapids.

Objectives	Project spawning ground (lake cisco and lake whitefish). Maintain navigability. Preserve communal use of the site and protect cisco fishing at Smokey Hill.
Movement of fish	Ensure that fish can circulate freely.
Approximate area of influence, going upstream	3.3 km.
Date as of which the water level will be substantially maintained	As of impoundment of the diversion bays in November 2009.
