Dam

The Nemiscau-2 dam closes the tailbay in the south branch of the Nemiscau River.

Instream flow release structure

The Nemiscau-2 instream flow release structure is built of concrete and abuts the right end of the dam. It will maintain the mean flow in the Nemiscau River.

It is designed to restore a flow of 0.8 m3/s (minimum instream flow) to 6 m3/s into the lower Nemiscau River.
